Named after the Michelin Man because of its curvy form this chair was designed by Eileen Gray for her own house in the 1920's. A talented lacquerist turned furniture designer and architect, Gray was an almost forgotten designer until an auction of a collection her 1920's work in 1972 which led to her rediscovery and reissues of her furniture.
