Use it as a downlight or hang it as an uplight, or just stand it on its rim and let it glow. With its 5 metre long cord you can plug it in and move it almost anywhere in a room.

Whilst the polypropylene shade only comes in white, the handle comes in a choice of three colours. Mayday can be used with a normal E27 screw fitting incandecent light bulb, may also be used with an energy saving light bulb (which will not get so hot!).

Mayday is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York
