Ron Arad's Bookworm by Kartell is a shelving revolution. A colourful, transparent, flexible bookcase with which you can express a little personal creativity, when deciding on how to figuratively shape and fix the shelf to the wall. Many configurations are possible, the more curvaceous the shape the stronger the shelf will be and therefore the more weight the shelf can take.

Available in three sizes:
3.2 m / 7 bookends
5.2 m / 11 bookends
8.2 m / 17 bookends

Adverage weight is 10Kg for every bookend supports that it has. Therefore, the smallest shelf at 3.2 metres has 7 bookends can hold about 70kgs.

Please note that although the extrusion used to create this shelf is flexible - it does have its limitations - it cannot create very tight curves and cannot be bent into right angles.
