The small FL/Y light forms part of Kartell’s well-known FL/Y lighting family, celebrated for its simple yet expressive design. The transparent material and glossy colour finishes create an iridescent effect that recalls the delicate surface of a soap bubble, adding lightness and visual depth to interior spaces. Unlike a perfectly hemispherical shade, the FL/Y design features a cut-off positioned just below the diameter. This subtle detail allows the light to concentrate more effectively downwards while still diffusing softly throughout the shade, creating a balanced and welcoming glow. With its smaller proportions, the small FL/Y light is ideal for compact spaces, kitchen islands, bedside areas or grouped installations. It works beautifully on its own or combined with other sizes from the FL/Y range, making it suitable for both residential and contract interiors.
